Kendall Jenner and her family are in H๏τ water over sister Kim Kardashian’s ill-advised and out-of-touch destination birthday party this past week.
But the IMG model, 24, didn’t seem to be worried about the controversy as she shared a trio of Sєxy ʙικιɴι sH๏τs online Wednesday.
Clearly not caring about the threat of COVID-19, Kendall donned a barely-there green and blue ʙικιɴι as she waded in clear waters.
Jenner’s enviable figure was on full display in a classic triangle top and string bottoms which were hiked high on her hips to emphasize her slender waist.
In one sH๏τ, the 5foot10 stunner put on little rectangular sunglᴀsses while letting a pair of brunette braids sweep into her cleavage.
Another saw the starlet brushing her chocolate locks out of her face as she put her toned abs front and center.
But Kendall’s most daring display was when she turned around to flaunt her pert posterior, revealing that her already itty-bitty bottoms were a skimpy thong.
‘Jelly got me,’ she captioned the post.
Kendall and family are now the ire of many after sister Kim flaunted her over-the-top 40th birthday vacation online Tuesday.
Kardashian was critiqued across the internet for being both out-of-touch and unsafe after bragging about the the 40-person trip to a secret island destination.
Followers were completely caught off guard by Kim’s long-winded post detailing the extravagant affair.
She wrote: ’40 and feeling so humbled and blessed.
‘There is not a single day that I take for granted, especially during these times when we are all reminded of the things that truly matter.
‘For my birthday this year, I couldn’t think of a better way to spend it than with some of the people who have helped shaped me into the woman I am today.
‘Before COVID, I don’t think any of us truly appreciated what a simple luxury it was to be able to travel and be together with family and friends in a safe environment.
‘After 2 weeks of multiple health screens and asking everyone to quarantine, I surprised my closest inner circle with a trip to a private island where we could pretend things were normal just for a brief moment in time.
‘We danced, rode bikes, swam near whales, kayaked, watched a movie on the beach and so much more. I realize that for most people, this is something that is so far out of reach right now, so in moments like these, I am humbly reminded of how privileged my life is. #thisis40’
Twitter was set alight with commentary for the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star as memes flooded the site in between thought-provoking anecdotes.
‘I feel like, maybe, you should not have shared this with us and just kept it to yourself,’ Twitter user @sullypov wrote.
‘People are dying and the rest of us are suffering as we watch the body count rise quarantined in our homes. This is tone deaf and insensitive.’
‘Wow so fun my family still hasn’t met my six month old baby but I’m glad you’re rich,’ user @clhubes wrote.
One user even tweeted to Kardashian that her father ‘didn’t have a funeral’ due to COVID-19 guidelines.
Underneath a meme of Blue Ivy, Twitter user @JanuaryMovie wrote: ‘I’m a school teacher who had to go to the ER two different times because I got COVID pneumonia. I’ve been in bed, on oxygen, for 20 straight days. I don’t even know if my sick leave will cover it. But go ahead and feel blessed.’
To date, more than one million people have died from the coronavirus, with nearly 43million cases accounted for since COVID-19 began spreading in January.
Kim’s own home state of California has tallied more than 17,000 deaths, and Los Angeles County is still in a top lockdown due to surging numbers.
Fans caught on to her tone deaf posts and created their own images with her caption, one of which mocked the Fyre Festival while another poked fun at Tom Hanks’ Cast Away character.
Some famous faces, such as Billy on the Street host Billy Eichner, shared the seemingly tone deaf post with their Twitter followings and made their feelings known.
‘Vote them out,’ tweeted Eichner, 42, referencing to Kim’s husband Kanye West’s failed bid for the presidency.
3rd Rock From The Sun star Kristen Johnston was clearly unsatisfied with Kim’s lengthy justification for throwing a birthday bash amid a global pandemic.
‘Way to read the room, Kim,’ wrote Johnston, 53, who rarely holds back on Twitter when it comes to her opinions regarding the pandemic and the upcoming election.
Kardashian also did not have the support of Better Call Saul’s Michael McKean, who took a hilarious jab at the over the top extravagance of the star’s birthday shindig.
‘And how was the swan cooked?’ quipped the 73-year-old actor, who chose to share the portion of Kim’s Twitter spree that discussed all of the activities her and her тιԍнт knit family partook in.
The Walking ᴅᴇᴀᴅ star Tom Payne deemed Kardashian’s tweets as ‘unbelievably awful.’
‘You could have done all this and stfu about it. Or, y’know, donated the money you were going to spend. Or all of the tests you used. This is not being “humbled,”‘ concluded Payne.
Author Wajahat Ali wondered ‘why’ Kim felt the need to share information about her unattainable birthday getaway amid such national unrest.
‘The rich are their own tribe,’ he began. ‘Why post the insanity while people are on lockdown and there’s a surge in coronavirus that is killing Americans.’
‘A trip to a private island during a pandemic? Somebody’s not keeping up with their lack of self awareness,’ wrote Houston-based reported Juan Lozano.
Radio Host Kristie Graybill ruthlessly summed up what she found the overall message of Kardashian’s Twitter thread to be.
‘Dear poor people, Sorry you’re poor but I’m rich and can afford not to stress about millions of people dying,’ began Graybill, who took on Kardashian’s persona for the tweet.
‘Anyway- sucks to be poor lol not me tho. Here is my humble private island pics for you poor people. Xoxo Kim west,’ she concluded, referencing to the slew of pH๏τos Kim shared from the week-long trip.
Actress Pia Glenn criticized the KKW Beauty founder for acting as if an exclusive trip to a private island, whether in a pandemic or not, is something the average person is able to experience.
‘Girl who is “us”???!! And “a simple luxury?” This is almost as bad as when she hopped on here a few years back to tell us she just found out about racism,’ tweeted Glenn.
Family Guy star Ralph Garman joked about how thankful he was that Kardashian ‘got a well-deserved break’ from her already luxurious life.
‘Thank God you got a well-deserved break. We all know how hard this year has been on the obscenely rich and obsessively narcissistic,’ tweeted Garman.
Bad Night star Gareth Reynolds poked fun at Kardashian’s alleged plastic surgeries by asking if the people in her birthday pH๏τos were her ‘team of plastic surgeons.’
Referencing to Kim’s sister Khloe Kardashian infamous overuse of pH๏τo editing apps to change her appearance, Poet Mira Gonzalez zoomed in on a pH๏τo of Khloe taken at the party and wrote: ‘new Khloe just dropped.’
The Goodbye Girl actress Quinn Cummings did not holdback as she lambasted Kim for catering to her own needs, instead of donating the money spent on her out of this world birthday party to ‘organizations helping terrified Americans.’
Musician AJ Rafael was so stunned by Kim’s post that he, at first, ‘thought this was a parody.’
‘”Hello lowly citizens of the world, you are going through a lot right now but i’m *humbly* reminding myself that i actually don’t have those problems #blessed,”‘ wrote AJ in an attempt to mock what he perceived Kim’s perspective on the situation to be.
