Love Island star Maura Higgins has set the record straight about appearing in an all-stars series of the dating show.

The reality star, 32, who sH๏τ to fame on the hit show in 2019, confirmed she has been approached by producers.

Maura, who has been named by fans as one of the most iconic contestants during the history of the ITV show, revealed she has subsequently turned the opportunity down.

It comes after executive producer Mike Spencer recently teased the possibility of an all-stars series and was interested in getting the Irish bombshell to sign on.

The reality star told Goss.ie that she ‘doesn’t want to go back in time’ and she has moved on from the show.

She said: ‘I can’t see myself ever doing that again, no. I’ve been asked, but I’ve said no.

‘I just think, I’ve done it once, I’ve had my time on Love Island. I don’t really want to go back in time, I want to look to the future.’

A source told The Sun earlier this year that the all-star series is in ‘development’ as they attempt to scout ‘some of the Sєxiest islanders’.

They said: ‘The plan would be to invite some of the Sєxiest and most successful former islanders to see if they can find love for a second time around.’
