Kaia Gerber has been spotted filming scenes for the second season of Apple TV+ series Palm Royale, sporting a prosthetic baby bump.

Loosely based on the novel Mr & Mrs American Pie by Juliet McDaniel, the comedy-drama is set in the super-rich Florida enclave of Palm Beach in 1969.

Kaia, 23, plays Mitsi – who is revealed to have been having an affair with main character Maxine’s (Kristen Wiig) husband Douglas (Josh Lucas).

The daughter of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber was spotted filming a scene on Wednesday where her character appears to be bundled into the back of a car while heavily pregnant.

Kaia’s prosthetic baby bump could be seen under a stunning gold dress, with other snaps showing her cupping the bump with her hands.

She was spotted filming alongside Josh, as well as co-stars Leslie Bibb and Jordan Bridges.

On June 6, Apple Studios officially renewed the high society dramedy Palm Royale for a second season.

The first season of the show starred Kristen Wiig, Ricky Martin, Josh Lucas, Leslie Bibb, Amber Chardae Robinson, and Kaia Gerber with Laura Dern and Allison Janney.

It followed Maxine Simmons (Kristen) as she endeavoured to break into Palm Beach high society.

As Maxine attempted to cross that impermeable line between the haves and the have-nots, Palm Royale asked the same question that still baffles us today: ‘How much of yourself are you willing to sacrifice to get what someone else has?’

Set during the powder keg year of 1969, Palm Royale is a testament to every outsider fighting for their chance to truly belong.

Kristen was seen climbing the wall over the club as she said: ‘I had only been in Palm Beach two weeks but I already knew the Palm Royale, the most exclusive club in the world, was where I belonged.’

But she then learned the club is full of mean women and she will have a tough time being included.

Palm Royale provided a glimpse into the gilded but conniving world of Palm Beach high society in 1969.

But the posh beach city did indeed play host to some of the wealthiest and most iconic Americans of the time, including Estée Lauder, Marjorie Merriweather Post and Noreen Drexel.

Stunning time-capsule images carefully preserved in the state archive have since provided a peek behind the curtain at what life was really like for those on the scene as they dressed to the nines in floor-length colourful print gowns and draped themselves in extravagant jewellery.

For many, these powerful women were the original Palm Beach influencers – but rather than parading their outfits on TikTok like residents today, they relied on glittering parties, galas and charity balls to showcase their style.

Many of images were taken at exclusive locations such as Worth Avenue and Royal Poinciana Plaza, with high-society chronicler Bert Morgan capturing a host of events including a March 1969 gala to benefit St. Mary’s Hospital at the Everglades Club in Palm Beach and a Red Cross fundraiser at The Breakers.

One picture set of a fashion show as part of the St Mary’s Hospital event features Diana Auchincloss, stepmother to actress and model Brooke Shields.

Diana wore a floor-length blue and white printed gown with green bow and matching satin shoes, was previously married to to Thomas Gore Auchincloss, a member of the Onᴀssis family.

Her father was the German Vice Consul in the US. The well-connected woman was also a debutante and member of the Grosvenor Ball committee, according to a New York Times wedding announcement.
